Role Introduction

Your Purpose

You will support Cathay’s cargo business in Cebu by driving commercial success, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring operational excellence. This role combines customer engagement, revenue support, and hands‑on operational responsibilities that keep our cargo business running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Drive Commercial Performance

  • Support the execution of the Cargo Business Plan to exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Work with Cargo Managers and Sales Officers to optimise capacity and secure new revenue opportunities.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders across all sales channels.
  • Promote Cathay’s cargo products and solutions, ensuring customers experience our premium service at every touchpoint.

Deliver Outstanding Customer Service

  • Respond to enquiries and manage bookings promptly and professionally.
  • Provide proactive shipment updates and creative, customer‑centric solutions.
  • Represent Cathay with care and consistency in all customer interactions.

Support Operational Excellence

  • Assist with reservations, flight documentation, and post‑flight reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, ground handlers, suppliers, and flight crews to ensure seamless cargo operations.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with regulatory and Cathay standards.
  • Support diversion handling, station training, audits, and administrative tasks as required.

Champion Safety and Quality

  • Fulfil day‑to‑day responsibilities as an Operational Duty Holder (as applicable).
  • Ensure all safety, security, and quality procedures are followed without compromise.
  • Proactively contribute to a culture of safety — because at Cathay, safety is everyone’s responsibility.

E&A

  • Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, encouraging collaboration and a positive team spirit.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Tertiary education
  • Preferably 2+ years’ experience in the cargo industry
  • Supervisory experience of at least 1 year is an advantage
  • Prior customer service experience with demonstrable customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CHAMP CargoSpot is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change in a dynamic environment.
